ICAR- Indian Institute of Soil and water Conservation, Research Centre, koraput organized 3 days training programme on Training and demonstration On Mushroom Cultivation, Vermicomposting and Nutri-Garden at Vill-Limaput GP- Block- Lamtaput Dist- Koraput, Odisha under SCSPduring 26-28 September 2024. On 26 September 2024 Sh. G.W.Barla, STO briefed in details about technical aspects and importance of mushroom cultivation ,practically demonstrated process of mushroom growing and urged the SHG members to adopt the technology for income augmentation. A total of 25 SHG members of Vill-Limaput GP- Block- Lamtaput Dist- Koraput, Odisha were trained. On 27 September 2024 Dr S.K.Samal, Sci(Soil) summarized importance of vermicompost as nutiri supplement in crops thereby ensuring a good harvest, reducing dependency on chemical fertilizer so as to reducing the cost of cultivation and also practically demonstrated the preparation process of vermicomposting. A total of 25 women SHG group members from Vill- Dhadi GP- Dabuguda Block- Lamtaput Dist- Koraput, Odisha were trained in this training programme. On 28 September 2024 Dr J. Lenka, Sci (fruit Science) outlined different Nutri-Garden models , establishment procedures and packages and practices involved. A total of 25 women SHG group members from Vill- Silpada GP- Dabuguda Block- Lamtaput Dist- Koraput, Odisha were trained in this training programme.
