The 14th Half-Yearly Meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand on 27 June 2024 commenced with the welcome address of all the offices from Anand district of Gujarat. The meeting was presided over by Shri Raj Kumar Mahawar, Regional Head, Bank of Baroda, Anand and President, Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand. Shri Chandraveer Singh Rathore, Chief Manager (Official Language), Bank of Baroda, Ahmedabad Zone addressed the Town Official Language Implementation Committee gave a guiding statement to take Town Official Language Implementation Committee to the top. Shri Pramod Barman, Chief Manager (Official Language & Parliamentary Committee), Bank of Baroda, Head Office, presented the important achievements of Town Official Language Implementation Committee in the field of Official Language implementation in Anand. The essay competition was organized by ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, Anand under the aegis of Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand in which Shri Ram Pratap, Technician and Dr. Dinesh Jinger, Scientist (Agronomy) from ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad secured second and third positions, respectively. The chairman praised the activities of the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad in the implementation of official language Hindi in his presidential address and stressed on the use of simple Hindi in the offices. The winners of various competitions organized by various offices under the aegis of Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand were honored with prizes and certificates. In the translation competition program organized for various offices in Anand under the aegis of Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand on the occasion of International Mother Language Day by ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad, in which Mr. Anand Kumar, Senior Technical Officer, Mr. Ramesh K.S., Senior Clerk, Mr. K.D. Mayavanshi, Technical Assistant from ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad secured first, second and third positions, respectively. In the above program, Dr. Gaurav Singh, Official Language In charge officer, ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Center-Vasad was honored for his excellent contribution to Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand, in the year 2023-24 and cooperation in the compilation and editing of “Ujjawal Anand” magazine. In the year 2022-2023, ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre-Vasad received the Rajbhasha Shield and Certificate for its excellent work in the implementation of official Language. In the year 2023-2024, Dr. M.J. Kaledhonkar, Head, ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre-Vasad was honoured with the “Rajbhasha Stambh” and also received a certificate. Other member offices doing excellent work in the implementation of official language were also honoured with the Rajbhasha Shield and Certificate. The latest issue of “Ujjwal Anand”, the in-house magazine of Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand was released by the Forum. Mr. Kishore Sonar, Manager (Official Language), Bank of India, gave the vote of thanks. Dr. P. Balamurugan, Senior Manager, Bank of Baroda and Member Secretary of Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Anand conducted the programme. Heads of Central Government Offices, Heads of Public Sector Undertakings, Heads of Nationalized Banks and Heads of Insurance Companies and their Official Language Officers were also present in the meeting.
