An Official Language Training cum Official Language Dialogue Program (through zoom meeting) was organized at Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation , Dehradun on 01.03.24 from 11 am to 01 pm. In this training, Deputy Director (Official Language) of the Institute Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Tiwari presented a training Lecture through PPT on the main provisions of the Official Language Act 1963 and Official Language Rules 1976, keeping in mind the quarterly progress report related to the official language. A total of 80 personnel from various institutes of Indian Council of Agricultural Research and Defense Accounts Department and Central Bureau of Investigation participated online in this training. In the discussion and question session after the training lecture , the participants discussed the dilemmas related to the implementation of the official language such as the main differences between documents under section 3(3) and original correspondence documents and their method of reporting.Many questions were asked related to definition of General Order, Hindi Promotion Scheme, Hindi teaching Scheme, Town Official Language Implementation Committee, proficiency Roster and individual orders etc., which were resolved and information about the provisions laid down by the Department of Official Language, Ministryof Home Affairs in this regard was given by the Deputy Director (Official Language).

While presenting the conclusions and comments on the training programme, the Director of the Institute , Dr M Madhu stressed on continuing such programs for the implementation of the official language. Describing Section 3(3) and the original correspondence as extremely important, he called upon all the employees to completely comply with them. Dr. Madhu highlighted the currently growing possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the agricultural sector and encouraged all scientists to take this as an opportunity and do important research. At the end of the program, Senior Administrative Officer of the Institute, Shri H.N. Sharma presented the details related to the progress of the official language Hindi in the Institute. He said that all the orders and circulars in the institute are issued bilingually (Hindi-English) and all the notes are written in Hindi.
