  • Participatory Integrated Watershed Management is a holistic approach which results sustainable development with improved eco-system services through resource conservation and livelihood support.
  • Soil erosion control can contribute to major part of total carbon sequestration potential. Natural resource conservation with emphasis on water harvesting and recycling can mitigate the future climate change.
  • Agro-forestry technologies are climate resilient and should be up-scaled / promoted on large scale for enhanced productivity and resource conservation and income generation for livelihood security.
  • Strategize effective coordination to bring-in synergy between organizations and stakeholders including BSI, ZSI, FSI, GBPI HE, WII, FRI, IIRS, State Biodiversity Board, ICAR, local academia besides trained local para-taxonomists (local key informants) for surveying and documenting existing biological resources in various ecosystems including forests, agriculture landscapes, rivers, and other aquatic resources on a temporal and spatial scales and create a national/ regional inventory/database/historical data for subsequent change or trend analysis.
  • Various forms of geo-synthetic materials can be used efficiently in seepage controls from water bodies and also in landslide control.
