ICAR-IISWC, Research Centre, Ballari organized 15 day internship programme on “Short-course on Soil and Water conservation Techniques for sustainable Natural Resource Management” from 30.07.2024 to 13.08.2024 to group of 24 women B.Sc. (Final Year) students from Smt. Allum Sumangalamma memorial college for Women, Ballari. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. B Krishna Rao, Head, ICAR-IISWC, RC, Ballari and attended by Mr. Md. Yunub Basha., Sr. Lecture and Ms. Sushmitha , Lecture from the college. During the inauguration students were sensitized about the major research and extension activities conducted by our centre and also brief about short-course modules of the internship programme. Speaking with the students Dr. B Krishna Rao, Head of Centre, asked all the students to actively involve in practical classes during training to get practical experiential learning on various Soil and Water conservation Techniques and other improved soil health practices. During the programme Centers scientists viz., Dr. B S Naik., Dr. Ramesha, M N., Dr. Prabhavathi, M., Dr, Ravi Dupdal, Dr. Anusha N M, and Mr. Ravi K N were present.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. Ravi, K N., Sci. (Agricultural Extension) under the guidance of Head of Centre.
