An international yoga day program was organized at IISWC headquarter and its eight regional centers on 21/06/2023. A day before the program, employees are encouraged to participate in Yoga Day activities through circulars. The programme was a yoga awareness programme for society. About 260 participants including staff of IISWC and their families, state government trainees, and students from different states have participated in the programme at IISWC Dehradun. A one-hour informative physical yoga session has been conducted by Mrs. Kirandeep Kaur (Yoga teacher), in which participants benefited from the deep knowledge of yoga and the physical steps of different yoga.

A banner on International Yoga Day 2023 with the theme Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam was displayed in front of participants. Dr. M. Madhu, Director, IISWC has highlighted the importance of yoga for human health and its relation with world wellbeing. He explained how a person can make a Yoga schedule in their daily activities. To spread yoga in society, a social awareness programme was also organized at Hariom Ashram, Dehradun with children and other Ashram staff. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Devideen Yadav, Scientist (Agronomy), and Mr. Anil Kumar Chauhan, (CTO) coordinated the yoga activities.
