ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Udhagamandalam is organizing “Capacity building on updated soil and water conservation techniques” for Skilled Supporting Staffs of this centre for 3 days from 25th to 27th February, 2021. The inaugural function of the training was held on 25.02.2021. Dr. K Kannan, Course Director and Head I/. inaugurated the programme and in his address, he has elaborated the need of the capacity building programmes for the staffs to improve their efficiency in day to day works and maintaining the research farm. Dr. V Kasthuri Thilagam, Course co-ordinator welcomed the gathering and explained the course schedule. The course module contains practical classes on updated techniques and Exposure visit regarding nursery techniques, green house maintenance, model watershed and various soil and water conservation structures. Totally 9 SSS from the centre is participating the training. Dr. S Manivannan, Principal Scientist addressed the participants and proposed vote of thanks.
