ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation demonstrated soil and water conservation techniques at the institute stall in the 3rd Asia Agriculture, Horticulture and Organic Fair organized at Race Course Dehradun from 04 to 06 October, 2024. This mega event was inaugurated by Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat, Hon'ble former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and currently Lok Sabha Member of Haridwar. Apart from this, former Chief Minister of the state Shri Tirth Singh Rawat also visited various stalls in the fair premises and praised the research and technical development work being done by the institute in the field of soil and water conservation. In the organized fair, more than 100 institutions displayed techniques related to agriculture, horticulture and organic farming at their stalls. During this event, apart from a large number of visitors at the institute's stall, more than 2500 students from various educational institutions took keen interest in soil and water conservation techniques. In this successful event, soil and water conservation techniques were promoted by Dr. Matbar Singh Rana, Dr. Abhimanyu Jhajharia, Mr. Suresh Kumar and Mr. Dharampal under the leadership of Dr. Charan Singh, Head of the Institute's Human Resource Development Department.
