CAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Research Centre, Ooty has celebrated the 77th Independence Day with great fervour and zeal on 15th August, 2023. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National flag by Dr Somasundaram Jayaraman, Head of the Centre followed by playing of the National Anthem. Thereafter the Head of the Centre addressed the gathering and requested all the staff members to give their best contribution for the overall development of the Research Centre and the IISWC, Dehradun.

During this event, appreciation certificates were presented to Dr Sudheer Kumar Annepu, Scientist; Mr. Goerge John, STO; Mr. Sivalingam, Farm Superintendent; Mr. Murugesan, TO; Mrs. Revathi, UDC; Mr. Viswanatham, UDC; Mr. Srinivasan, SSS; Mr. Mallarasu, SSS and Mrs. Geetha, Contractual Staff in recognition of their contribution in the sphere of their duties towards Centre’s development and activities.On this occasion, cultural and sports event was also organized in which all the staff members along with their family members have actively participated. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
